Jewelry Care
Jewelry chosen to be treasured deserves thoughtful care.
Gold Jewelry
- Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or jewelry box.
- Clean gently with mild soap, lukewarm water, and a soft cloth.
- Avoid chlorine, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals.
- Remove before swimming, exercising, or heavy activity.
Gold-Plated Jewelry
- Gold plating may naturally fade over time with frequent wear — this is normal and not a defect.
- Avoid water, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals to preserve the plating.
- Clean only with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive polishing cloths on plated pieces.
- Remove before swimming, exercising, or heavy activity.
- Store separately in a soft pouch or jewelry box.
Portuguese Filigree
Portuguese Filigree crafted in Sterling Silver 925 may naturally develop tarnish over time. This is a normal characteristic of silver and not a defect.
- Wipe regularly with a soft microfiber cloth.
- Use a Sunshine Cloth when tarnish develops.
- Avoid moisture, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products.
- Handle filigree with care and avoid pressure that could bend or damage the fine details.
- Use a soft, dry brush to remove dust from intricate areas carefully.
- Store pieces flat in a padded jewelry box, away from other items that could snag or press against the filigree work.
Gemstones, Pearl & Enamel
Gemstones bring color, character, and individuality to fine jewelry. Proper care helps preserve their natural beauty.
- Clean gently with a soft cloth.
- Avoid harsh chemicals and extreme temperatures.
- Store separately to prevent scratching.
- Remove before activities that may cause impact.
- Pearls are delicate: wipe with a soft cloth after wearing, and keep away from cosmetics, perfumes, and hairspray.
Professional Maintenance
We recommend periodically inspecting your jewelry for loose stones, worn settings, or clasp wear.
